A Vision for Milpitas
When my family moved to Milpitas in 1999, we found more than a place to live—we found a community where our children could grow, our businesses could succeed, and our family could give back. Milpitas welcomed us, and it became the place we proudly call home.
Today, I believe our city is at an important moment in its history. We have grown into one of the most diverse and dynamic communities in Silicon Valley, and we have an incredible opportunity to build on that success. With thoughtful leadership, responsible planning, and strong partnerships, Milpitas can become an even stronger city for the families who live here today and for generations to come.
Leadership is not about having all the answers. It is about listening, bringing people together, and making thoughtful decisions that reflect the values and priorities of our community. That is the kind of leadership I will bring as your Mayor.
Priorities for Milpitas
Public Safety
Housing and Smart Growth
Building a Strong Economy
Every resident deserves to feel safe in their neighborhood, at work, in our parks, and throughout our city. Milpitas is fortunate to have exceptional police officers, firefighters, and emergency personnel who serve our community with professionalism and dedication. They deserve our continued support through appropriate staffing, modern equipment, ongoing training, and innovative programs that improve public safety while using taxpayer dollars wisely. Keeping our community safe will always remain one of my highest priorities.
Housing is one of the greatest challenges facing every California community, including Milpitas. The State requires every city to plan for additional housing, and we must meet those responsibilities thoughtfully and responsibly. Smart growth means planning housing alongside the infrastructure that supports it—including transportation, parks, schools, utilities, and public safety. We must also recognize that unnecessary costs and regulations often make housing less affordable. Our goal should be to expand housing opportunities while keeping homeownership and rental housing within reach for working families, young professionals, and seniors. Growth should strengthen our community and improve the quality of life for everyone who calls Milpitas home.
A strong economy is the foundation of a strong community. Our small businesses are the backbone of Milpitas, and they deserve a city government that is responsive, supportive, and committed to helping them succeed. At the same time, we should actively attract innovative companies and quality employers that create good-paying jobs and strengthen our commercial tax base. Expanding commercial investment helps generate the revenue needed to maintain excellent city services while reducing the financial burden on our residents. Economic growth should create opportunities for everyone while preserving the financial stability that has made Milpitas a great place to live and work.
Strengthening Regional Partnerships
Transparent and Responsive Government
Fiscal Responsibility
As Mayor, I will work to strengthen Milpitas' voice throughout Silicon Valley and beyond. Strong relationships with neighboring cities, regional agencies, and our representatives in Sacramento and Washington, D.C., allow us to compete successfully for grants and outside funding that bring new resources into our community. Those partnerships help us improve infrastructure, transportation, public safety, parks, and other city services while protecting local taxpayers. Milpitas deserves to have a respected voice at every table where decisions affecting our future are made.
Milpitas is fortunate to have talented city employees, dedicated commissioners, and countless volunteers who work every day to improve our community. Our residents deserve a city government that listens carefully, communicates openly, and earns public trust through transparency, accountability, and respect. Good government begins with honest conversations and meaningful community engagement. As Mayor, I will continue to encourage collaboration, welcome diverse viewpoints, and ensure residents have every opportunity to participate in decisions that shape our city's future.
Our city is on solid financial footing, and we must continue managing taxpayer dollars with care. Responsible budgeting, long-term planning, and sound financial policies allow us to maintain excellent services while preparing for future challenges. Every dollar entrusted to the city should be invested wisely, efficiently, and transparently. Strong fiscal management is essential to protecting the quality of life our residents expect and deserve.
Voices of Tomorrow

As a teenager, voting has always felt like something I’d worry about later. But with another mayoral election approaching in Milpitas, I decided to find out what actually goes on behind the campaign signs — and why I should be paying attention.

Are you a Milpitas student who wants to be heard?

Nearly five decades ago, my family came to America seeking freedom and opportunity. Milpitas became the place where we built a future beyond anything we could have imagined. Serving this community is my way of honoring my parents’ sacrifice and ensuring that future generations have the same opportunity to succeed.
It would be my honor to serve as your Mayor. Together, we can build a Milpitas that is innovative, financially strong, welcoming, and full of opportunity — for every resident, every family, and every generation.
Looking Forward
Milpitas has an extraordinary future ahead of us. Together, we can strengthen our economy, create smart housing solutions, keep our neighborhoods safe, invest in our infrastructure, support our local businesses, and preserve the financial strength of our city.
I believe in Milpitas because I believe in the people who make this community so special.
